Sanjot Khurana

Head of Finance

Sanjot Khurana is a senior finance executive with over 20 years of experience leading finance organizations at publicly traded and private-equity-backed software and infrastructure-technology companies. He specializes in scaling SaaS businesses, driving business-model transformations, and strengthening financial discipline through periods of rapid growth and change.

Sanjot currently serves as Head of Finance at Tideworks Technology, a global SaaS provider backed by Blackstone Infrastructure Partners, supporting more than 100 marine and intermodal terminals worldwide. In this role, he oversees FP&A, controllership, treasury, pricing, and strategic finance, and partners closely with product, engineering, and go-to-market leaders to align financial strategy with operational execution in a PE-governed environment.

Prior to Tideworks, Sanjot held senior finance leadership roles at Pure Storage and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. At Pure Storage, he led strategic finance, investor relations, and treasury initiatives supporting the company’s subscription and AI-driven portfolio. At HPE, he served as finance leader for the Hybrid Cloud SaaS business, where he redesigned pricing, revenue, and analytics frameworks to support a market-leading recurring-revenue model and post-IPO financial transformation.

Subbu Bhat

VP, Software Engineering

Subbu Bhat joined Tideworks in 2025 as Vice President of Engineering. He brings over 20 years of experience developing scalable technology solutions to address complex customer challenges. His expertise spans the design, development, and operation of highly available systems across diverse industries, including transportation logistics, eCommerce transaction processing, payments, and the use of AI/ML for fraud detection.

Prior to Tideworks, Subbu led the cloud transformation of GoDaddy’s eCommerce transaction processing systems. He also held key leadership roles at Expedia and Amazon, where he oversaw cross-functional teams across engineering, machine learning, and product management. In these roles, he served as the single-threaded leader for fraud and abuse mitigation, driving measurable outcomes through advanced technology and strategic execution.

Julian Galvis

VP, Sales & Marketing

Julian Galvis joined Tideworks in 2025 as VP of Sales & Marketing. Julian has a strong operations background, covering a broad range of experience including Terminal Operations, public sector consulting and software project execution. He has a strong passion for automation and simplifying Marine Terminal’s operational workflows. In his career which spans more than 25 years in the maritime sector, Julian has personally visited over 160 marine terminals in over 62 countries in order to gain a better understanding of the challenges and discuss how technological solutions could solve them. Before joining Tideworks he was VP and Regional Manager Americas at IDENTEC SOLUTIONS. He has also worked at ABB as Sales Director for ABB Marine and Ports, with oversight of APAC and Americas regions OCR product line. He has also held positions of responsibility with APMT, Navis and Maersk Line in his career.  

Chad Van Derrick

VP, Software Product

Chad joined Tideworks with over 20 years of experience delivering innovative large-scale products and services to market across a range of industries. Heading Tidework’s Product Management organization, Chad is responsible for injecting innovation, continuous improvement, and increased stability across Tidework’s product suite. Chad was named Most Innovative Technology Consultant in the United States by Wealth and Finance International. As an executive, entrepreneur, author and speaker, Chad has had cross-industry impact to businesses through cutting-edge tech and critical foresight. Prior to joining Tideworks, Chad was a Vice President at SAP where he led their Universal ID offering as part of SAP’s Customer Data Cloud product and directed data management products and services supporting the migration to SAP S/4HANA ERP.

Daniel Schwager

Director of Product

Daniel Schwager joined Tideworks in 2015 and serves as Director of Product. He brings more than 20 years of experience delivering enterprise software solutions across the logistics, transportation, and insurance industries. In his role, Daniel leads globally distributed product teams focused on modernizing mission‑critical systems, defining and executing multi‑year product roadmaps, and improving operational performance through disciplined, data‑driven decision‑making.

Throughout his career, Daniel has combined deep domain expertise with a strong customer focus, partnering closely with executives, engineering leaders, and global stakeholders to deliver products that enhance reliability, efficiency, and customer value at scale. He holds an MBA in Finance and brings a strong foundation in systems thinking, analytics, and continuous improvement.

Gert Kabbedijk

Operations Manager, Europe

Gert Kabbedijk is a long-time professional in the field of ICT and organizational requirements analysis and consulting with a full specialization in terminal operations, on both an execution and management level. Coming from a background in terminal operations, he currently oversees Tideworks European operations. In 1996 Gert started a software company specialized in terminal solutions. His business, Sonu Software Solutions was ultimately sold to Tideworks Technology in July 2004. With over 30 years of experience in logistics, project management implementation of new software developments, he has built up a wealth of experience and knowledge in the terminal sector.

Heath Johnson

VP, Information Technology

Heath Johnson joined Carrix in 1997 as a UNIX administrator. After upgrading the terminal operating systems at all of SSA’s marine terminals from a legacy platform to IBM AIX he became an Oracle DBA and provided leadership for the database group, ushering in Oracle clusters and Standby database. Heath was promoted to the Director IT infrastructure shortly after Tideworks was formed, he brought in new technologies that included Linux clusters, load balancers, Converged Infrastructure Architecture and 10 Gigabit core networks. Since then he has held roles as the Director of International IT for SSA International and more recently the Director IT Services focusing on US based Carrix affiliates.

Hugh Gallagher

VP, Client Services – Marine

Hugh Gallagher joined Tideworks in 2005 with more than 15 years’ experience in the transportation industry and has held positions in vessel operations, liner agency services, intermodal, vessel planning, and terminal operations. Hugh most recently served as assistant vice president of emerging technologies managing all aspects of research, development and quality control of Tideworks’ full suite of software applications. Involved in every aspect of the product life cycle from requirements gathering through implementation, Hugh enjoys leveraging his operational experience and an aptitude for systems to help organizations realize effective business solutions.

Mark Bromley

VP, Client Management

Mark Bromley joined Tideworks in 2008 and is currently Vice President of Client Management. During his time at Tideworks, Mark has led many key marine and intermodal project initiatives with great success helping customers maximize the software capabilities to achieve operational efficiencies, while keeping focus on schedule and budget. With over 20 years of experience in terminal operations and implementing terminal technologies, Mark has developed a deep understanding of what is required to successfully meet the business needs of customers. Mark is located in Tideworks Jacksonville, Florida office.

Todd Tatterson

VP, Sales

Todd Tatterson supports Tideworks’ sales efforts and manages key business relationships, strategic growth initiatives, and the company’s expansion into new markets. With nearly thirty years of experience in terminal operations and a strong track record supporting the adoption of Tideworks’ software portfolio worldwide, Todd brings a deep understanding of both operations and technology. He serves on the board of Tideworks’ joint venture partner, Brenock Technology, and played a key role in the startup of Manzanillo International Terminal in Panama.

Frederik Stork

VP, Professional Services

Frederik Stork joined Tideworks in late 2024 as the new VP of Professional Services, Frederik brings over 11 years of deep expertise in container terminal operations from his tenure at Navis where he led a global team focused on terminal optimization and automation consultancy as well as data driven insight generation. 

Before joining Navis, Frederik was the Professional Services Leader for IBM’s middleware offerings in the US West region. Prior to that he worked for ILOG, an optimization software company where he held various leadership roles in professional services, sales, and technical sales across the US and Germany.

Frederik holds a Ph.D. in Math/Operations Research.

Thomas J. Rucker (T.J.)

President

Thomas J. Rucker joined Carrix in 1999 as a project manager within the Y2K project team. Shortly after Tideworks was formed, he relocated to Panama where he oversaw IT Operations throughout Central and South America. Thomas then relocated back to Seattle and held the position of Vice President of Product and Professional Services. He was responsible for the innovation and execution of a variety of terminal operating system solutions at marine and rail facilities around the globe. Most recently, Thomas served as the Vice President of Operations for Manzanillo International Terminal (MIT) providing strategic and tactical leadership for the company’s operational functions.

Brenock

A trusted Technology partner, Brenock works closely with its Marine industry customers to deliver cutting edge software solutions, with a proven history of innovation, integrity and flexibility.

Founded in Miami in 1995, Brenock has become an innovative developer of cloud-based and mobile friendly applications focused on driving efficiencies in Marine management systems. Recently, Tideworks and Brenock announced a Joint Venture to leverage complementary strengths to deliver enhanced management tools and solutions for their customers.

Brenock gains its competitive advantage by partnering with its customers to develop cost-effective applications, backed by years of data and powered by the latest technology, that deliver immediate results to customer’s bottom line. Brenock also offers industry leading support, training and communication to ensure its products deliver the benefits they promise.

At the heart of Brenock’s Marine Management portfolio is its Port Management System, driven by the Core Financial modules, and with solutions in Berth Reservations, Offload Management, Call Analytics, Crew & AdHoc Expense Tracking and Ocean Guardian, an environmental compliance program. Brenock is also expanding into new technology such as Idea Pipeline, through its dedicated Brenock Innovation group.
