Implementation Services
Tideworks works closely with customers to ensure that each solution - whether a new system implementation or legacy system conversion - is accepted by its users and meets the objectives of terminal management. Our implementation services include:
  • Project Management: An experienced, professional project manager oversees every Tideworks' implementation. The project manager serves as the client's main point of contact and manages all aspects of the project, including project scope, the Project Implementation Plan (PIP) and project resources.
  • Operational Consulting: Procedural changes can result in dramatic productivity gains. Tideworks' operational consultants work with terminal management to leverage best practices and maximize technical and equipment resources. These optimizations can include anything from less data entry by way of new EDI processes, better resource management with new equipment assignment strategies and much, much more.
  • Hardware Procurement Assistance: Tideworks will assist in the hardware procurement process by connecting the terminal with reliable vendors known to offer excellent products and support at an advantageous price. We remain independent from third party vendors, so we find the products that are the best fit for your operation.
  • Technical Infrastructure Consulting: Tideworks completes a full assessment of the terminal's technical infrastructure and network architecture. We then make recommendations to enhance your network for additional operational productivity.
  • Gate Automation Services: Tideworks manages the build out of new gate complexes or retrofitting of existing gate infrastructure. With in-depth experience in this area, we oversee all of the contractors required to complete the project, make design recommendations based on best practices and integrate the hardware and software solutions needed for the project.
  • Software Customization: We employ a proven step-by-step process and methodology to ensure we meet our clients' customization requirements. We also have extensive experience defining, designing, developing, testing and implementing software and system modifications for a variety of purposes.
  • Data Conversion: Tideworks' developers and testers ensure a seamless transition by transferring business-critical and historical data from your existing systems to your new Tideworks' solution. Converted data may include past transaction history, equipment specifications, bookings, current inventory and many other components identified in our operational audit.
  • User and Technical Training: Tideworks' training courses provide interactive, hands-on learning opportunities that ensure the terminal's staff is ready when the new systems are installed. Our instructors have worked at terminal operations themselves, so they can relay both operational and systems knowledge. We also offer technical training services to assist the terminal's IT staff in the transition and maintenance of the terminal's new systems.
  • On-site Go-live Support: Tideworks takes full responsibility for the ultimate success of our systems' deployment at your terminal. On the go-live date, a cross-functional team of is on hand to assure operations continue uninterrupted. We confirm all live data is accurate, answer user questions and address any issues that may need attention.
